SEASIDE RETREAT
Interior refurbishment of a Grade II Listed, terraced four-storey early19th-Century townhouse in Margate.
The extant 1980's rear extension and lower ground floor of the property have been reconfigured to improve the generosity and functionality of the interior, while respecting its Georgian heritage. The entire property has been internally restyled as a sophisticated seaside retreat for its occupiers. All internal finishes have been renewed with custom-made joinery throughout, including a bespoke kitchen and dining table. William Morris 'Seaweed' wallpaper adorns the entrance study area and sitting room, as a subtle nod to the coastal setting and its architectural heritage.
Listed Building Permission was obtained for the internal alterations and for the addition of sash windows to the rear of the existing extension.
